The owner of the firm is Santiago J. Soler-Martinez who is a litigation attorney that focuses his practice in federal and state litigation, corporate matters and bankruptcy. Initially after graduating from law school Mr. Soler-Martinez worked in Los Angeles, California assisting several law firms in general litigation work. This included being brought onto the defense team in State of California v. Louie Sanchez, the high profile criminal case that came to be known in the media as the “Dodgers Beating Case.” Subsequently, in 2014 Mr. Soler-Martinez decided to return to Puerto Rico and pursue his legal career there. Upon his return to Puerto Rico he eventually undertook managing a diverse portfolio of litigation, corporate and bankruptcy matters. Because of his background he was brought to assist the defense team in the trial of United States v. Dr. Juan Jose Tull Abreu, a health care fraud and white-collar criminal case and also assisted in the defense of the United States v. Glenn Rivera (high profile case involving alleged government corruption that included defendant Anaudi Hernandez and other government officials).
In conjunction with his private practice Mr. Soler also served as In-House counsel for Professional Hospital Guaynabo from February 2017 through August 2019, where he handled numerous cases both defending and prosecuting on behalf of the Hospital; Soler also provided consulting regarding the Hospital’s administration and business ventures.
Mr. Soler has handled a wide range of complex commercial litigation cases, criminal cases, family law cases, corporate transactions and bankruptcies. Among the most notable was the Hurricane Maria Class Action, where Soler represented plaintiffs that sustained damages as a result of the Hurricane, litigation efforts resulted in a favorable settlement agreement.

Education

Mr. Soler-Martinez graduated with honors in from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus (RUM) with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He later obtained his Juris Doctor from the Inter-American University Law School in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While in law school he was recognized for his trial advocacy skills and was selected to attend the National Federal Litigation Competitions.

Bar Admissions

He is admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as well as the Federal Bar for the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Mr. Soler-Martinez obtained one of the highest passing grades in both the state and federal Puerto Rico bar exams; demonstrating his dominion over the law. Soler obtained the 18th highest grade among 698 participants taking the state bar.
